A 5-string banjo & guitar picker, Bill started performing
at age 6 on the accordion.  He also sang with the
Portland Symphonic Choir, Seattle Philharmonic and Portland State University's Singing Viks, with whom he toured with the USO.  Along with Jerry, he was a member of The Cactus Kids, and The Tremolos, who recorded his first composition Just Wanderin' for RCA in 1959.

He sang with the folk trio
Westwinds, the rock group 58 Garage Band, and The Meistersingers. Between groups, he performed solo in Portland, San Francisco, New London, New York & Hartford's folk digs.  He once performed on stage with the original New Christy Minstrels.

Bill's vocal and banjo arrangements are featured on their CD and in the songs performed by the
RCR.
